I do know that this isn’t covered by the title policy as only recorded liens are covered.I guess my only option then is to lodge a small claims action a against the prior owner.

Airbnb states they will collect lodging/occupancy taxes on your behalf and pay them to the city, state etc.

Still does nothing to address to significant lags in viewing my AirBnB inbox on the web, but since State of NH is still not permitting STR bookings even after their lodging task force recommended they open today, it's all a fairly moot point anyway.

Unless it has a year-round high occupancy rate, typically those types of investments should factor in a much higher than average vacancy rate.I know some folks who "invest" in condos, time shares, ski lodges or a lake house (or whatever) realizing they aren't going to make money renting it out, but their main goal is to lose less.

The worst case which I've never heard of happening but is a risk;  the buyer/rent to own tenant buyer complains you ripped them off and calls the state banking division and lodges a complaint.
