Chris, welcome to the area and to Bigger Pockets.There are a number of groups in the Boston area, with different focuses and sometimes different attendees.

The events have very seasoned syndicators …some of which own several hundred units.Although this is a training event, Robert and Russ still encourage attendees to network and exchange business cards amongst each other because they want us to develop relationships to continue helping each other out….and hopefully even do some deals together.

I listened to the interview and he had zero stats to back up the value of the education other than the supposed 9.5% rating from attendees!

At the end of the video, the interviewer points out that the attendees are encouraged to apply for credit line increases and for new cards.

Hey BP,Whenever I have the time, I like going to seminars and presentations which I've always enjoyed and usually managed to get a little more educated, but over the last while, any that I have gone to here in Atlanta, while being very well attended have been very poorly presented and a real waste of time with little or no beneficial information for the attendees other than a "networking opportunity" and rant from the organizers about the products they're selling. 

Now I'm a regular attendee and still making new connections.
