I'm a 30 something guy who has good DIY skills, I work full time as a Landscape Architecture Project Manager at a firm in Boston, MA and (like everybody else) I'm interested in real estate investing.Other than purchasing a 125 year old Victorian as my primary residence and rehabbing it for 5 years, I have no actual real estate investing experience.  

He traded that for a water well drilling business later on, and soon added a Remodeling and Victorian Restoration component, a Heating and Air component and a Plumbing component.  

Going very "modern" in a victorian style house is going to be very weird as would going very traditional in a more "modern" style home/condo.

Consider Queen Anne, Victorians, the so-called Craftsman style - - these are premo properties when rehabbed appropriately. 

We have a project in the Western Suburbs that consists of a gut/rehab with small addition to an exisitng 3 story Victorian structure.We are seeking a few quality contractors for the following:Rough carpentry (framing)Exterior siding PaintingWe have had plans on the street for +- 1 month and proposals are slowly trickling in.Any contacts/assistance would be much appreciated. 

Wardman, Petworth Style, Victorian rowhouses I would be more apt to hold onto, but if it is one of those post World War 2 attached properties, Id be more apt to sell.Hope this helps out a bit.

It should be renting for $1800 or so per month, but the tenant is long term and my client is generous.The 3/1s are in a Victorian building one unit up and one unit down. 

So new construction is being built next to my 120yr old Victorian home in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia.

There are some GORGEOUS Victorian homes in that area, and it's so sad to see so many in various states of disrepair.

We have an old Victorian duplex which has {real} tavern floors in both units.
