Recently bought STR on a "vacation" home loan. 

Only Hall County allowed STR on the Lake, but they also said "there is a moratorium and cannot accept any STR applications till June 10th for any property in a subdivision", when I called the county office.

We are buying our first STR on Florida’s Space Coast.

Has anyone done a STR on one half while living in the other as opposed to the traditional LTR house hack?

It's very possible to do STR on the gulf side, don't give up, you'll find a spot.  

I've also considered doing a STR on a lake or river near me instead, which would probably put me outside of these heavily regulated municipalities, but I only found a couple of Airbnb's on the river I was considering.

We own one STR on the West Coast (just listed) and our strategy so far has been to acquire more STR’s specifically on the East Coast since the buy in is a lot cheaper but I’m hearing conflicting opinions about the STR world and am considering switching strategies.

If the previous owner has listed the STR on Airbnb, did you get to keep the reviews and listing as it or would you need to start again from scratch?

If you have your tenant running the STR on the property, what happens if they stop performing.

Someone wants to get a STR on a lake and likes the listing for a 1968 built home, do you know what hazardous materials may be in that home?
