If you start simple and small and stack the deck in  your favor, odds are you will find it easier to see where your path might lead. 

However, much of life is about putting the odds in your favor. 

I'd be VERY careful with the words I use.I'd say I get that they have been getting by violating the building rules for 20-odd years.

Dead deer or not, people are people who will do odd things.

The odds of losing money are much higher than the odds of making money. 

Your odds of a home run without a massive amount of creativity in denver area is minimal.

Oddly, in general I find B to B conversations far less intimidating.

We still get the odd theft from time to time but it's easy keeping a finger on the pulse when we only do 3-4 rehabs per month or so.Just had one recently but couldn't tell you when it happened prior to that.It's just the nature of the beast and could happen anywhere.At least we don't get car windows smashed by junkies and bags stolen from cars in broad daylight like in San Fran haha

It's very odd to have 3 different times where they refused to allow you to fix the issues and simply moved on (after spending money on inspections).

Also, I have recently became aware of the odds of me being a successful real estate investor are not in my favor.
