I think most women in the relationship have a big say in where to live and if they aren't pleased with living next to a prison I think it may be hard for you to get it rented, especially once she sees the other boarded up houses and area.Very opinionated answer but I believe it comes down to the demand of renters in that specific area and how it will be in the future.

By embracing problems and using their own maintenance people...they only make real money when there are problems. 

My only property, about 8 miles away, I rented to 2 women in their mid 40's.

I am in Atascadero.As far as the rehab of kitchen, I love white cabinets as most women do, but I would just clean up and change out hardware since painting cabinets can be tricky.

I value my long-term name over immediate profits and based upon experience feel I earn more by embracing these moments of compassion.

There were a few people pretty adamant about cleaning up bandit signs of all types, middle aged women with local tourist businesses that didn't take kindly to people putting up what they considered illegal ads on other peoples properties.They spend money on other channels of advertising and considered it not only illegal but also unethical business practices.I have used bandit signs myself and they are very effective, we used to put them out on weekends and have them picked up by Monday mornings.

I used to abhor debt and embraced the paying mortgages off early theory.
