Yeah, moonshine stills are definitely a thing, but they're most prevalent a little further south/southeast closer to WV/VA/TN.

North, South, East, and West are abbreviated sometimes, and not other times, all depending on context.

Everything west of Highway 99 is rapidly appreciating as homes are bought, fixed up and sold for $400-$500k reasonably quick.Even Oak Park, to the southeast, is turning around.

Here in the southeast, basements are not common.

I'd say look at the southeast.

Investors in my area capitalize on dog friendly and it isn't cheap to own a dog and rent.Cedar fencing is a NW thing.. they use pine in the deep south east.. and fences get destroyed quickly by the sun and moisture etc.

@Eric Robertson - Definitely agree with @Mark Ainley, but I will say the 5-year horizon is definitely promising...Everything East of 90 in the Southeast pocket is extremely hot.
