The garden home one street over can only rent for $1800, and it's empty right now, and has been for 6 months.

I'm currently looking at the Old North End, Garden Ranch area (as close to UCCS as possible), and Park Hill.

The southwest area; Dr Phiilips, Windermere and Winter Garden are good for investing, as well as the SE side near the new Medical City (VA Hospital, Nemours, University of Florida Medical School, and Burnham Institute).

I would incorporate a community garden, lots of landscape design, and individual front porches.

Hi all - My extended family and I are currently on a week long vacation in Garden City, SC (south Myrtle) and are all staying in an ocean front beach house (extended family is here, so we all pitch in to make it feasible).

They've done soils testing over the years in order to get the go ahead for community gardens and were approved two years ago.  

They are garden level, have no door at the top or bottom of the stairs and just feel like an extension of the main floor.
