Most people would rather live in a detached unit of a multifamily than an attached unit...I currently live in one of my multifamily properties that has a shared wall which is perfectly fine with me but currently looking for the next place and ideally it would be detached units for more privacy...Duplexes  generally tend to be smaller here in San Diego (2 bed/ 1 bath units are most common) and those with families and kids tend to want atleast a 3bed/2bath which maxes a single family home with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) more attractive.

We renovated the front and back yards to put in a new lawn, irrigation system, vegetation, and privacy fences.

I have done my best to block out the names for privacy purposes.

For example Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule ("COPPA"), required anyone under the age of 13 has to have their parents in on the process.

The other thing you want to keep in mind (if the yard isn't fenced) that will be a HUGE turnoff to tenants with kids, pets, and people who like any sort of privacy.

It's amazing how many sites will sell your email even when they specifically state they won't in their "privacy disclosure."

@D'andre, utilities have privacy laws that prevent disclosure of any accoiunt information.

If you are going to invest there, bring your A+ game and buy a property that has something going for it from a nature perspective (nice view, privacy, boulders/cliffs in the backyard, etc). 

Also, in the case of NV, they have a privacy agreement with the IRS, giving some anonymity to NV LLC owners.
