We are debasing the value of the debt we owe to our creditors, slowing the Chinese economy (detering imports), promoting exprots and our manufacturing sector - which we desperately need and encouraging investment rather than saving.It also makes foreign direct investment in the US more attractive to overseas investors rahter than buying our debt.The dollar will likely decrease further and remain low for sometime but it will come back.

I'm having a difficult time assessing the articles about Cleveland's declining population and overall low % of college graduates vs. articles like this touting the strength of the health care sector and potential for economic rebound.I would posit that one of the more beneficial things the city and most importantly inner ring suburbs (as city schools have a very poor reputation) can do is to continue to tear down abandoned housing.

I fully endorse such strategic flexibility and ROI-maximizing decisions.That would be similar to a flipper who expands nationwide and perhaps worldwide, finds that he is so successful that he is unable to reinvest the proceeds back into the flipping business at an adequate ROI, and then decides to do other things with the cash such as buy-and-hold.
