. ;-)  well, 1, my tv's dont have cameras. so the most that could be done could be reviewing data of what you watch. that data is already being sold. also, if you are that worried, dont use a smart phone, the carriers watch and sell that data. oh, and dont use the internet at home, that data is collected and sold too. you can drop way down a rabbit hole regarding this. and if i remember right, there isnt a privacy law. there is a privacy act of 1974, but technology didnt exist like it does now. so dont expect those lawsuits from TV's to happen anytime soon

Underestimating human ingenuity/technological prowess is probably one of the oldest parlor games played since the dawn of civilization.  

When technology came along, Microsoft etc ( which I participated in and benefited from in the tech boom) wages went through the roof.

., from impacts to the technology sector, to food and gas prices rising as a consequence. 

That's very surprising as skills in tech and information systems are some of the most marketable skills in today's business environment which is very process driven and looks to technology to streamline everything.

Thanks to technology, a farmer can now farm thousands of acres by himself. 

Of course, I'm talking about speculative technology being developed primarily to erect structures on the Moon and Mars as our only reasonable exit from the tyranny of endlessly rising costs for homebuilding here, to put the crazy plainly.

That technology has come a long way and with funding, could potentially develop into an even more viable answer.
