Opinions vary wildly on rebuild cost.

@Ryan E.Hi Ryan.I really need to have 3 major projects within my target area that is about to start or has started already.As an example, I bought in the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene Area starting in the year 2003 in Brooklyn.There were 3 major projects that were being developed very close. 1) The Barclay's Arena 2) the rebuilding of the World Trade Centers and 3) Steiner Movie Productions in the Navy Yard.All are multi-Billion Dollar projects.

They have been consolidating and rebuilding ALL the city schools over the past few years, which should help with the education levels. 

They claim it's because the cost to rebuild from scratch would be significant, but my question is, why didn't they do this from the initial phase instead of waiting a year to figure out rebuilding costs?

The HOA Master Policy will typically rebuild the structure and nothing else in your unit.

I own a very small, older duplex and was informed that If I wanted to tear down and rebuild, I would not be able to put another duplex on the same lot without being granted a variance.

I looked on steadily. com as well as spoke to a statefarm agent but i am not getting any clear answer on what will be the right type of insurance.Should I get the dwelling coverage based on the amount of investment I will do or the rebuild cost?
