They are saying that about 15% admit cheating on taxes and that Uncle Sam will nail about .003%, recovering about 4.5 times the amount spent to catch cheaters.Just FYI, if you are one of the lucky ones selected for an audit they will begin investigating returns and reviews before you ever know you're so lucky.

The other, and possibly even more fundamental to reducing barriers for opportunities to let people prosper, is implementing sound budgetary practices.By reducing government spending through things like freezing new hires and pay raises and placing a moratorium on incurring any new taxpayer-funded debt, there are plenty of opportunities to cut taxes.Local governments should volunteer for third-party audits to determine where areas of waste can be eliminated along with expensive lobbying contracts and longevity pay.

They are usually triggered during an audit or if you change the insurance policy, that's why I usually recommend keeping the existing policy under the seller's name and adding your new policy on top.

The purpose for the county treasurer calling for an audit is because the taxes owed (section A1) is more the value of the property and this gives him permission to sell the property at the auction for 2/3 of the value which is lower than the amount of the taxes which are due.
