My first thought is that they should pay for it, but Ryan and Arthur bring up a good point about it breaking from abuse or normal wear and tear.If it is their fault, the question then becomes, how hard will you have to work to get the money out of those people?

It's one of the issues listing agents have to deal with all the time, to level set them that the sky high price of the market might not apply to the dumpster fire they've abused the past 20 years to where a buyer would have to spend serious $$$ to fix it up.I get the luxury of representing buyers (investors) more, and if a listing agent cries to me about a lowball I just say suck it up buttercup, get me counter if it's low, bye for now.
