That's a common practice, especially in SoCal on multi unit properties.Owners in this case want to avoid upsetting paying tenants with constant strangers invading their privacy

@Preston WilkinsDue to Canadian privacy law, things such as foreclosure lists, probate lists, delinquent mortgage lists, etc. are difficult to produce and, in most instances, illegal to sell or distribute.As a province, Ontario uses power of sale in lieu of judicial foreclosure, so the first public notification will be a "Notice of Sale" in the classifieds section of the local newspaper and/or in The Ontario Gazette.
