@Preston Wilkins

Due to Canadian privacy law, things such as foreclosure lists, probate lists, delinquent mortgage lists, etc. are difficult to produce and, in most instances, illegal to sell or distribute.

As a province, Ontario uses power of sale in lieu of judicial foreclosure, so the first public notification will be a "Notice of Sale" in the classifieds section of the local newspaper and/or in The Ontario Gazette. One of the best ways we have found to get a line on REO properties is to drive/cycle/run our "farm" neighbourhoods and look for notices affixed in the windows or doors of houses. Another avenue is to ask the local postal carrier (if there is still home delivery in the neighbourhood) or to make friends with the property management companies who look after the properties for the lenders.
