@Dav PohoteThe answer is it depends,Currently you may be much better off at 15 years due to where interest rates are but when they were 3-4% you could have invested the delta between A 15 and 30 year payment and achieved a return better than the interest you were savingIt’s also a personal preference where people like to have less debt and sleep better at night - I am 100% with that being the reason to do 15 %For example for us our primary is 30 year at 3% and we have a rental that we 15 year at 2.5% and reason we did 15 year on it was it matures the year my son will go to college and we did not “need” the cash flow during this time so we were like let’s have it paid off and then it’s cash flow can be used for his schooling or sell it to pay for school.Lots of things to consider and each situation should fit your needs

@Kurtis Eaton I have student housing in more northern state but my son is at UAH in Huntsville so the area is on my radar.

O recently moved to Florence,Az a Non-profit organization help me get into this place and I really love it, however I left a Domestic Violence Mariage, I'm Disabled on Disability, my two sons and I were homeless for 5months before this, luckily the organization helping us had us in a motel for the last 2months.

The walls are thin and my oldest son can hear them arguing every day.

I have one son who I love more than life.

Unfortunately house hacking is kinda out of my reach.I have a 3 bed 2 bath primary that my wife and I live in with my 2 adult sons,which need to start investing in there own home by now lol,20 year old and a 23 year old.And my wife loves animals so some of those too.So I come with a lot of baggage to house hack I believe,unless there is a way I am not aware of.Sounds like your off to a great start,keep going forward!
