For the last couple of weeks I've been scouting out a couple of six unit REO's in two different sections of the inner city.

@Adam CraigOne more thing, be sure to check the zoning and HOA if you are buying a house.My place in Portland, OR prohibits vacation rentals in neighborhoods so I now have to force a 30 day minimum, or one renter a month (which luckily has not been a problem), and most of the HOA's I reviewed in scouting for my second home also prohibit rentals of less than 30 days.It seems a number of people blow off the zoning and HOA thing, but it is a risk that needs to be considered.Thanks!

Scouting a home that the previous owner played builder on.

I have been scouting out some properties in the Salt Lake City.

My husband and I were out scouting for properties last week. 

Everyday I drive around my local area that I want to invest in (Niceville,Fl) and scout vacant looking or distressed SFR's.

Now, I scout the neighborhoods, check the curb appeal of the property, and then I work the numbers.It's easy to chase that shiny white whale of a return, but many real estate dreams  are ruined chasing white whales.

Im constantly on the road in south Texas and Id love to be able to pull into a neighborhood and scout out potential farming areas.
