I have accumulated precious metals irregularly for years.

Of course we all know how volatile the stock market is and should realize by now that would "should" happen isn't always what "does" happen.Some would say go with precious metals but I have no clue how you really value a pretty rock.

Most assets in self direction are hard assets-real estate, a note with real estate as collateral, ownership or interest in a private placement, physical precious metals, all of which are hard to dispose of by the Ira company and would raise flags fairly quickly.

Gold and other precious metal scenarios are far from assured from working.

@Precious Thompson I only include the fees that I, as the owner, will be carrying as operating expenses, when I do my analysis of a property.

I am holding precious metals until it collapses then investing in real estate.

@Juan Diaz,I lumped categorical implications based on capital movement, and the constraint of otherwise limits in the principle based from mainstream economics; land, money, labor, and commodities, where money knows no border yet labor is monetized as a commodity just like the intrinsic value of a precious metal, or the value of crops.

Time is our most precious commodity, and most (well over 50%) of the people we talk to are a waste of it. 

Thanks Account Closed, between paying off debt and trying to save for a venture into RE, it would likely be quite some time before I'd be in a position to allocate anything toward precious metals.
