Yes, the typical stick built to "code" SFR will likely be cheaper per square foot (though I would wager not by more than 15%), but the modular built home will likely be more efficient.  

But if I did, I would only wager what I could afford to lose.

There are a bunch of ASB contractors out there, some a few person crew, I can't compare prices because I use prevailing wage rates for government and each are about 110/hr out the door.

I'd wager you're losing more money over the life of the loan vs paying the lenders attorney.

The problem with betting on the come is that you don't have a crystal ball, and wagering your investment's success on market conditions of the future is precarious at best.I personally would recommend what Rich is saying.

I completely agree with this, the risk is a big factor if you want to wager it or not.
