As a failsafe I used the NOAA Sea Level Rise Viewer - https://coast.noaa.gov/slr/I used different resources to check the current sea level rise rate per year, then 4x'd it, then pushed out that rise for 50 years, and made sure that my property was still above water at that level.

There are a few things that I want/need to do to my current home before renting it out such as:- Painting & Spackling- Replace a storm door- Install Deadbolts & Door Viewer- Other miscellaneous items I'm estimating about $1000 of expenses however what I really want to know is if I can deduct these expenses and the time it takes to perform them if I do it while living in the house?

I was recently playing with FEMA's hazard layer viewer that was updated last November (See it here) and there's an area of about 4-5 square miles just south of Veteran's Parkway that's not in a flood zone.

What I like about the MP scan is it retains some sense of depth and it auto-generates dollhouses and floorplans so the viewer can get a view the layout of the property.
