Those are good options, but you can also skim coat over the texture with joint compound.

But so is the cost of gas, milk, tennis shoes, and real estate.

They are cleaned every few weeks in summer and we skim out leaves when necessary.

One more - just came across this FAQ on Biggerpockets that would be helpful to give a skim as you are learning the ropes.

Skimming my post, saying you don't have time to read it, and then banging out some completely generic questions does nothing of value.

Stick with it, I'm not sure how not being a US citizen complicates investing in the states but I'm assuming it adds another layer of complexity, there is money to be made in the 'land of milk and honey'!
