You also have to consider zoning and permit requirements, utilities (either separating them out or going all bills paid) and awkward layouts.

I found this rule very awkward.

I have my Google Voice # ringing to my cell phone, but the connection is spotty and the phone call has a lag which makes for some awkward conversations.A lot of investors I know go with patlive.

Our desire is to move that wall (and plumbing) 18 inches towards where the camera is, to allow a full bath/shower to fit in the master bathroom, and to make it a bit more roomy -- and to make the guest bathroom a little less awkwardly sized/proportioned, but still comfortable/cozy.  

The current layout is  very awkward and is a poor use of space, but could be tremendously improved by just swapping the tub and shower locations/orientations, which I imagine would drive potential costs up a lot.
