We would re-deed the property as  Joint Tenants in common (vs LLC because after the current tenant leaves in August, we would move-in and rent out the basement and would want to obtain an owner-occupied cash out refi loan to pay off /down our respective debt.

The deeds are in the name of my LLC now, but if I re-deed the properties in my personal name, I can get a good rate on the mortgages (that's what the broker is telling me.)Here's the problem: I'm being told I have to wait 6 months after re-deeding before I can refinance.

Maybe it is just ease of transfer...have 10 properties and you pass away, you don't have to redeed everything to the heirs....just transfer the LLC.

The credit union I'm working with proactively brought up to me that if the properties were in an LLC that I'd need to re-deed them into my name, refinance, then re-deed them back into the LLC.
