Most buyers seem OK with a P/E that’s a lot higher than I would be comfortable with. 

Luckily, I am actively researching the ins and outs of REITs and PE real estate deals (both of which I encounter often with work).Main Point: I would like to get into real estate investing, but I don't know if I should utilize my career CRE learning and enter that space first, or start smaller with residential.

I am hearing that a buyout from PE is in process but that is uncertain as of today.

Your finance/PE background is something lots of syndicators are looking for in a partner.

For a local PE to look at the plans, size the beam properly, and even draw a few connection details (the most important piece) you're probably looking at $500-$800.

The S&P 500 is at its upper P/E range of 25.  

Seems to be focused on Class A, large properties that could be acquired by REIT's and PE funds.

SP is at 25 PE ratio.
