I live in California in the glorious Bay Area, lovely place to live but not so much for first time investors.So I am looking to invest in two markets outside my own Dallas TX Area and Central Florida.

It is a lovely place, and I see why you might not want pets to wreck it, but alot of folks love their cats or dogs, especially if they don't have children yet.

@Eric Tait Because Jamaica is a lovely place, beautiful beaches, nice people, and family connections... my husband is from there.Trying to get started with some small properties to build up to our retirement programme of a B&B on the beach.

@Miguel BautistaJust over the Delaware there is a lovely place called Pennsylvania :)Check it outI was born and raised in NJ but have lived in PA the last 15 yrs, I’m about as Far East as you can be so super easy access to NJ.

Still both lovely places. 

Less people are booking that area.http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/US-State-Dep...I like Western Mexico right now or places like San Miguel de Allende which is also a lovely place to visit if you can afford that market.

If you're outdoorsy and want to still be right next door to CA it's a lovely place. 

This isn't to cut on your town, it might be a lovely place.
