How can I strike a deal where they can still receive some income from the property, but I can purchase the home and make my share and eventually (1-2 years away) own the home and eventually get full profit from this 8-unit property.

If I understand correctly your siblings goals are to sell their rental properties, use the funds to purchase a primary residence they'll eventually move into, and limit their tax liability correct?

I want to work my way into anything full time because I have a decent job now but eventually i want to have real estate/construction replace my income. 

What seems most attractive for now seems to be multi-family markets starting out and eventually moving into 5-20 unit properties for growth. 

I was eventually going to pivot to multi family after getting my feet wet with fix and flip, but I am wondering if I should just jump in right away.

I eventually want to build on the lot but for the time being, I want to purchase it so that no else buys it first.
