I have tons of cash heavy friends that want 100% hands off RE investments and snap up 1%ers like freaking chicklets on a Tijuana street corner.

Go visit the house, better yet go to Tijuana for a day and see if it's for you.

If I had to do it again, I'd be on the fence - around here, it's very price competitive to get custom cabinets made in Tijuana and make all these details someone else's problem.  

In terms of crime, I think it's more in Tijuana area. 

What exactly happened in Tijuana?

Almost every single time I look at a rate calendar, it's like a ghost town.If you want STR why would you do it in someplace like Joshua Tree, or Big Bear, Tijuana,  or someplace right near you, vs long distance?

Mainly coastal Baja (Rosarito to Cabo and some manufacturing sites Tijuana and Tecate), Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Acapulco, Yucatán and Jalisco and San Miguel de Allende.
