I have family in Skowhegan and Madison. 

For background, since last year, I have invested $250,000 into three different multifamily syndications in Chicago, DFW, and Madison.1.

Madison County REIA is a great place to connect with investors in person.

The Hinrichs may have done well with his investments in Madison County from a distance, but ask about their experience in South Jackson.

Madison is a great market.

To add to the above posts, one thing that amazes me on this forum is the number of people who feel the need to give advice on markets that they have no idea on or no experience in.For example, the number of people who feel the need to chime in about the Huntsville/Madison/North Alabama market who have absolutely no clue about it.  

I went to Mississippi State and have a ton of friends from Madison, MS, and the surrounding areas of Jackson.

It is rather nice, but not as pricey as Madison and Rankin Counties.

About to close on my first investment property in the coming week, 4-unit in outside of Madison, WI.

My note is a performing 1st and I plan on setting up the lender with Madison Management so that the payments on the Partial come from the performing loan.
