If you are trying to trim costs (really the only excuse other than no licensed and bonded contractors being available right when you want), this is not the way to do it because you open yourself up to much more liability.

Again hindsight is 20/20 and I know what I need to do going forward with regards to putting everything into proposed fixes.My question to you all is, I want to do the right thing, but tree trimming was not in my plans and she wants at least two of the trees trimmed before there’s more damage to her property.

It's not unreasonable to ask the tenant to keep a small amount of beds, shrubs, etc in generally good order (weed free, trimmed, etc).Putting it in the lease allows you to charge them for the landscaper if they don't do it.
