Money and business can ruin a friendship, even a close family friend.

Good Morning any advice on how to go about selling coop 2021 I was able to transfer coop to my name : dad (co owner) passed away 2023 and uncle owner of unit (cancer) legal transfer shares to me.

By the same token, one bad tenant can completely ruin an investment too.

I am not saying that I will hit the ground ruining as a high end custom luxury home builder or that I am going to build a 500 unit commercial apartment complex.

After spending the last year battling cancer (and winning!)

We were in the right.So, next thing we hear from our broker is that the seller says the deal is off and in his words; "Tim Ryan and Rod (last name intentionally removed for the story) may NEVER buy this property from myself or my family".It was pretty interesting how he seemed to be so mad at us and all we wanted is to know that he'd be willing to sell to us before we share all of our financials.We laughed it off and decided no deal is so important to get this worked up over.A couple months later I get a call from my same broker and he tells me that apparently the seller was dying from cancer and in fact has now deceased. 

Don't let any member of Govt ruin your resolve and dreams of being successful. 

They’re the ones who think all guests are party animals and ruin property values.

The neighbor, who was there first and has a right to quiet enjoyment of their property, just has to make a complaint about the vacation rental next door and the local governing body can decide overnight that vacation rentals are commercial businesses which shouldn’t be allowed in residential areas, like so many other places have already determined, and poof now the issues between these two neighbors have ruined it for everybody else.
