I am looking for ways to find like-minded investors who share a similar vision, books on international real estate, other forums or websites where international real estate investing is discussed, and any other tips that anyone would be willing to give me. 

I bought all of BP books and reading them in order of my vision and goals.

I think setting up a strict budget will help squash those visions of grandeur but it will be a work in progress.

I am have no idea how you have such vision for these things!

Share your vision with her slowly, be patient.

Plan with the property: I want to know your long term vision, I would assume you plan to hold for at least 9 years, otherwise there are the tax implications.

You really can't scale unless you put a team in place that shares your same vision.  

You can be an active developer pulling owner builder permits or hiring a GC to execute your vision.

I offered the bank a strong presentation for our vision for the property and showed them our track record of successful renovation projects.
