You make an excellent point - there is both ART and SCIENCE involved in marketing, words matter - a LOT.

The best clients are usually more sophisticated in their understanding of building science and engineering and understand the value of what I do and don't shop me or try to beat me up for a couple hundred bucks.

I'm not saying its Rocket Science (and I'm an ex-engineer) but there are some hurdles, however small, that one has to go through in order to get your RE license.
