In hindsight, we wish we stuck with it.My wife is a Realtor and I have 25 years of commercial construction experience.I just discovered BP a couple of days ago and it seems like a great resource.For now I can offer a lot of construction knowledge but when it comes to real estate I am a dry sponge looking to soak up as much knowledge as possible.

For example, a no hassle, low cost apartment won't soak up much of your capital (which you need for the next buy and hold rental or flip).And--just as crucial--it won't burn up much of your valuable time (with home improvement projects, a lawn to mow, leaves to rake, a porch to paint, flooring to replace, etc).So you can put the extra money and weekends into buying and improving investments properties-- not on a long to-do list for your own place.Best of luck!
