In hindsight, we wish we stuck with it.My wife is a Realtor and I have 25 years of commercial construction experience.I just discovered BP a couple of days ago and it seems like a great resource.For now I can offer a lot of construction knowledge but when it comes to real estate I am a dry sponge looking to soak up as much knowledge as possible.

That is exactly what I'm doing right now, just learning from my agent and soaking in all of the information about the market I can before I pull the trigger.

Soaking it all in and taking lots of notes. 

Definitely looking forward to soaking up as much knowledge as possible.

Take a lot of time to read and soak up information of self-property management.

I soak it up like a sponge!

For example, a no hassle, low cost apartment won't soak up much of your capital (which you need for the next buy and hold rental or flip).And--just as crucial--it won't burn up much of your valuable time (with home improvement projects, a lawn to mow, leaves to rake, a porch to paint, flooring to replace, etc).So you can put the extra money and weekends into buying and improving investments properties-- not on a long to-do list for your own place.Best of luck!
