If you have issues with places to run the ducting, then the choice is obvious.....The newer typical ducted systems are also very efficient and keep the whole house cool/warm so there is that in really cold climates....Choose the one that is cheapest and easiest for you to install, either one should last 30 years with regular maintenance....
