I just started literally a week ago with short sales and I used only a few bandit signs and start target FSBO and responded to Craigslit local sellers.I looking forward into county clerk records and be able to receive also some list from interent sites and respond with postcards.

I went to the New York Queens County Records Office to get a Lis Pendens list for my postcard marketing campaign and I was shocked to hear what the clerk had to say.I was told that a couple years ago too many people were coming to the QUeens County Records Office looking for Lis Pendens that they now sell these lists to Big Companies...

You are guaranteed to get some hostile responses at some point, and possibly put yourself in harms way from angry/desparate people.I would stick with a multi-pronged marketing approach (direct mail/postcards, recurring newspaper/pennysaver ads, signs, networking, etc.), and leave the door-knocking to the vaccuum salesmen.Get creative.
