If I am house hacking then what should be the insurance.

If you are just getting started here in Chicago, house hacking is the ideal situation.

Since you mentioned that you are getting started, I highly suggest you house-hack (this is how I got started in Costa Mesa, Orange County).

Given your mobility for duty posts you can really ramp up your real estate portfolio while serving.Every time they got stationed somewhere they would purchase a property to live in using their VA and house hack.

This works best when the seller is motivated and open to flexible terms.4.BRRRR Strategy (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat)– If you find the right undervalued property, you can finance the rehab with short-term funding and then refinance into a long-term loan, pulling most or all of your money back out.5.House Hacking– If you’re open to living in your investment, you can use an FHA loan (as low as 3.5% down)to buy a multi-unit, live in one unit, and rent out the others.

I am considering buying a property in Spokane that includes two separate housing units. 

The tenant left with a not so clean house. 

I’m fairly new to REI and looking to learn more about house hacking, fix and flipping, and fonding renters.
