Examples of relatively straightforward businesses for taxes: consulting, small medical/dental, small retail, Uber/Lyft.

We also developed office/retail condo projects, medical office, medical/dental clinic, general office, residential subdivision, and multi family.

Hygiene.

I have been a dental assistant for almost 20 years and have loved it until my bout with severe plantar fasciitis, then was diagnosed with osteo-arthritis, at which time I freaked out worrying how to help support our family.  

You can also do your own dental work.I don't recommend a DIY approach to either...I am a licensed agent, I have bought and sold many homes, and every year a new contract comes out, I pay for an 8-hour contracts class to learn the best way to fill them out.

This city is renowned for its high cost for services like dental care.
