Quite the opposite: it's arguably incompetent and on the way to being crushed under its own weight.Anecdotally, in DFW (a current Zillow market), I hear zero whispers about Zillow's amazing flips.

If you are getting a loan, the bank will make sure it will appraise anyway.Now here is the VERY IMPORTANT thing...when you take it from a residential property you will using the Comps or comparable approach to determine the value...so if the other "mansions" of similar size are selling for 500K...then arguably yours is worth 500K etc.When you convert this bad boy....you will be using the Income approach to determine the value of the property.

war zone area is a very arguable term, what I see as a war zone might be different then what you consiter, or what some non real estate person living in a 300k house in chicago, as they would probablly consiter it a war zone just because they wouldnt live there.. , although i know nothing about chicago, what makes this specific area a war zone?

Arguably, banks are, in some cases, improving the value of the property by demoing a junk building.They do this all the time in Vegas.
