Woodlawn is good, but keep you eye on the areas the gays and hipsters are slowly creeping into...Rodgers Park has found a new resurgence and you can get some buy and hold rental steals there if you are willing to buy, fix and rent.

Advertising housing that pro-gay is not allowed.

My husband and I (yes I’m gay and conservative) live humbly, and live in a house that is smaller than any of our rentals.

For example Houston is the 4th largest city in America and it is now the most diverse city in America and elected the first openly gay mayor of a major city.

Places that open to soon will have higher death rates than those that don't (see Sweden's #) - They will not shut don't and #s are surging.  

There's a town about 20 minutes from us by the name of Gay.

My first post here :) Just as short intro and background: I currently live in Dublin, Ireland, but 2 years ago I was living in Canada, before that in the Netherlands, and I'm originally from Sweden.

Interestingly though...as a landlord you were always able to discriminate against gays.

Or if your intent was to not rent to a gay couple, and your state doesn't allow discrimination against sexual preference.You probably couldn't get away with it in CA.  

Occasionally the gay one has a melt down about life, but she handles it well from AZ.As an aside we have a LOT of contract-for-deed investors that run rentals for us in the hope of paying it off eventually.
