Most folk thinks the source of inflation is mainly from Fed printing money, but if we examine the CPI closely, the crazy inflation only occurred mainly in two sectors: Energy and gas.

When the Fed decides to "fight inflation" and raises rates, and then when the Government decides to insure mortgages and then makes that mortgage insurance harder to get, well, that limits growth in the housing sector causing home prices to skyrocket while people’s incomes remain stagnant.
