Not trendy, just light and fresh and warm.But, if otherwise everything is functional and clean and not god-awful, you should be fine - assuming you're not in a really rich trendy area that absolutely demands granite countertops. 

There is a mini wall and doorframe on the right side, when facing the fridge, and kitchen cabinets to the left with new granite countertops.

I also did stainless in that one, and slab granite instead of granite tile.

All of my properties are either brand new or completely renovated in the last 3 years and have stainless steel appliances, granite, wood floors, brand name faucets and everything is color coordinated and matches.  

Lowes has a nice in stock countertop that looks like granite it's white, black and gray.

Vacancy is the killer- I’d rather stick $3000 of granite and stainless in an apartment than be 4 months vacant.

We did our first BRRRR last year and never dreamed we would put granite in. 

The seam in the granite is probably not their fault and I'm guessing neither is the hinge.
