Imagine trying to manage several hotel rooms 24/7 365 where you have to constantly juggle your calendar for guests and you have to move their move-in dates forwards, backwards, and they cancel and you need to get new guests to fill those dates.The regulations for STR's are always changing and you are at the risk of not being to use the place for an STR.
