I like the job/population growth, big tech sector, the various Universities, and the fact that there are reasonable deals still to be found.

Since the passage of the "Affordable Care Act" the cost of health insurance in the private sector is up about seven fold what I paid in 2008.

Texas has a growing tech sector coming out of California mostly.   

For me that means mix of short-term (value-add) and long-term (stable) lease deals in the industrial sector.

Now consider the complexity of that actual market sector where there are middle men skimming a cut for product placement and inventory management all over the country.

Since, there is so much to learn, it can seem overwhelming so it might be best to figure out what type of investing you want to do and then immerse yourself in that specific sector and subject.

For a lot of the "hotter neighborhoods" you are seeing initiatives both by the private and public sector which you can check out in the city's comprehensive plan

Unless you are working in the public sector and expect loan forgiveness I wouldn't want to drag education payments out for 25 years.

People like politicians have talked for years about wanting to improve the Southern sector, but much of that talk seems elusive.
