in Vermont , it states that its not clear if its legal to charge a late fee ( tenant/landlord book printed by sate ) i find the best and so far totally legal , is to charge for my time , i must spend the time to record 1 check , 1 deposit slip , 1 trip to the bank and back , my time and cost to find a parking spot at bank..... ads up quick !
