If he scratch built these, they look good to me.Maybe tell him about the renters comments about messyness, and ask him to improve--then let the renter know you talked to him about it.In the future if you have an odd opening size, mirror doors overlap and can fill an odd size quickly, plus they make the room feel bigger, and give the renter a nice floor to ceiling dressing mirror--to check their clothing before going out.
