There is one camp that thinks they have considerable room to keep climbing IF interest rates stay low.

If you are planning on just parking it on some open land than you will be "dry camping" the entire time.

I think one way or another you should figure out how to keep him as a tenant, if possible, or as a handyman.He sounds like he'd be a perfect on-site manager for a mobile home park or apartment building or camp site, etc. 

Couple of the pros and cons of paying off early (this is the camp I'm in) which may have been brought up but I haven't read all 3 pages.

We do more camping than going to the beach.Oh, and without being political we're more aligned with the traditional thinking of Texas on that end of things...red state Texas that is...   

@Wade Kulesa keep in mind that Dave Ramsey is a business as well and he wants to keep you 100% in his camp.

If there is a vacancy I will go and live in the house with camping gear until it's rented again.

You can usually look up the zoning regs online.There's a guy who lives off the grid in the county I live in, and he has several cabins and camping spaces that he rents out on AirBnB.  

@Jayson Hinkson I guess I am more in the let them go camp but that is because my properties are desirable and I can normally get them rented within the two month notice period that tenants normally observe here in Ontario.
