Set house rules to avoid the drama of a roommate stealing food, leaving mess, and so forth

Not sure if you have a Class C property, but if you do you can expect more drama with future tenants.

If they're going to trash your unit they'll do it anyway.The eviction stops the drama, excuses, lies, and delays. 

Especially if I was living in the 2-flat as well.I live in an area with harsh winters as well and I know it is definitely an issue at times getting a unit rented in the winter months. 

I promise you, it's going to be a fight everyday and there will be a lot of drama...and headaches...but, if you're "all in" and determined to succeed and willing to pay the price, then you will succeed and prove the doubters wrong!

The worst part about renting by the room is roommate drama. 

If you feel they're being too harsh, think about their intent.

It's still amazes me sometimes when I find a great looking building, and then see the neighborhood it's in.The biggest thing to determine is how much ROI you want, in exchange for how much drama.
