Office buildings can look good on paper but they will get hit the hardest during a market slowdown especially class C where you are targeting small churches, marijuana docs, lawyers, insurance agents and mom and pops.

Hey Everyone,I have tenants in one of my units who are complaining that the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke from the neighbors in the adjoining row home are causing nausea and headaches. 

Well that's past and back to the present, I am in okaloosa county Florida, and I have a marijuana based business I am opening up and I am in search of a marijuana friendly landlord, preferably commercial as I don't know if I can run it out of a house like some other businesses.

Even more so if it's Marijuana. 

- Tenants paid $650 when moving in- A few months later, tenants caused some "loss of income" as a result of violating their lease terms (Marijuana use and resulting excessive odor caused an AirBNB guest in the upstairs unit to cancel their extended stay early, costing me $450 in income).- Via text-thread, Tenants agreed to (a) stop MJ use, and, (b) accept that I was taking the $450 out of their sec. deposit to cover the loss.Now (about 6 months later) I'm selling the property and I'm not sure how to handle the fact that only $200 remains of the security deposit and that the only documentation of this is an old text thread. 

Development is on an upswing with hundreds of new jobs coming within the year due to the marijuana industry establishing major commercial grow facilities 3 miles down the road.  

I don't have a crystal ball but with marijuana legal in Illinois as January 1st, 2020 now...... that should translate into an increase of demand to these businesses lol.

@Michael TaylorThere are several lenders that specialize in funding real estate tied to medical marijuana.

The only two things I can initially think of is Beshear is pro marijuana, so maybe that can bring in some more revenue and help us keep up with our peer cities.

I also noticed on the second walk through that 3 of the apartments had active smokers in them (one of those being marijuana).
