There are some differences to note but some similarities as well.It is a lot easier to get lists in the US but due to privacy laws Canada doesn't offer the same level of lists you can get in the USA.

The landscaping needed work too, I removed scraggly and overgrown bushes/trees, put in two block walls, a patio privacy fence, lots of work on the grass.

I did a little bit more research and decided to tell tenants the following:"Unfortunately we are unable to hold mail for you at our office according to Postal Service regulations since the mail was not addresses to us, and due to tenant privacy we do not permit former tenants to approach new tenants.

If not then enforce the no permit work and make them correct the work.You could build a privacy fence right up against it and there would be nothing they could do about this.

still good potential for families looking for a home to rent and prefer more privacy. depending on the home, area ,etc. maybe a better caliber renter and less turnover of you can find a long term renter. make certain to still do background checks and try to get them to maintain the lawn, etc. they should pay electric and heat but keep the water bill in your name but still try to bill them for it.

Since we have the stainless appliances, the porcelain wood grain tile floors, the granite, and so on, and brand new privacy fences and newly installed patios with pavers, we think our units are comparable to the high end apartments, but without the community facilities those come with.
